PHS Track and Field Senior Night April 25
Peotone High School honored its track and field athletes on Thursday, April 25, at Track and Field Senior Night. Congratulations and good luck to the following athletes!
Franco Perez is the son of Janette and Jose Perez and a first-year member of the team. One of Franco’s favorite team memories was riding the bus to a track meet – playing music and singing along. After high school, Franco’s plans are to go to trade school to become an electrician. (Franco was unavailable for a picture.)
Mohammed Abunijmeh is the son of Sherin and Khalil Abunijmeh and a first-year member of the track and field team. Mohammed’s favorite team memory was riding the bus home with the team. After high school, Mohammed plans to go to college and study engineering.
Travis Bush, son of Tammy and John Bush, is a first-year member of the track and field team. One of Travis’ favorite memories was having fun messing around during meets with Terrynn and Kendall. After high school, Travis plans on becoming a flight attendant and travel the world, then open a charity based restaurant that focuses on feeding the world’s hungry population.
Edgar Duran is the son of Rosa and Francisco Duran and a first-year member of the track and field team. One of Edgar’s favorite memories occurred when there were baby bunnies running around on the track. After high school, Edgar will attend Northern Illinois University and major in finance.
Alicia Hunding, daughter of Suzanne and Steven Hunding, is a three-year member of the track and field team. Alicia’s favorite team memory was running the 4×400 under the lights, while they played music. After high school, Alicia plans on attending college for a degree in psychology. After that, she plans to travel a lot and become an agent in the behavioral analysis unit of the FBI.
Elizabeth Rede, daughter of Carolina and Juan Rede, is a first-year member of the team. One of Elizabeth’s favorite memories was finishing a race and cheering on her teammates. After high school, Elizabeth plans on attending JJC for two years and then attend a university to pursue a career in dentistry.
