Peoria Air National Guard Hosting Career Showcase for Illinois Youth
The 182nd Airlift Wing Recruiting team is scheduled to host a career showcase for Illinois high school students at the Peoria Air National Guard base, Tuesday, April 9. This event will showcase what the Air National Guard is and what it has to offer recruits, while highlighting the different jobs and opportunities available to Illinois youth.
The career showcase is open to any high school students interested in learning about local military service, as well as the career opportunities and educational benefits available to military members.
During this event there will be opportunities to meet members of the 182nd, experience what day-to-day operations around the airlift wing are like, learn about college tuition assistance programs, learn about the potential for the newly released enlistment bonuses of up to $50,000 for certain jobs fields, and an interactive career fair in the main hangar.
This event will be held at the 182nd Airlift Wing, 2416 South Falcon Boulevard, Peoria, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
