Knot Just for Knitters, from 1 – 2 p.m., ages 11/adult: Join us to socialize while working on knitting, crocheting, or any other type of needlework project. Drop in.

Preschool Pals, from 1 – 2 p.m., ages four/five: During this independent storytime experience, children will enjoy spending time with other preschoolers, while listening to stories, learning songs and fingerplays, and playing games. Register.

Retro Movie Fridays, from 2:30 – 4:45 p.m., all ages: Showing “Tremors” (rated PG-13). Drop in.

Saturday, April 6

Muffins with a Mystery Reader, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., families: Start the weekend with a delicious treat, while enjoying stories and songs with Ms. Kerry and our Mystery Reader. A parent or caregiver must be present. Register.

Getting Ready for the Solar Eclipse, from 1 – 2 p.m., all ages: A total solar eclipse is happening on April 8. Join local astronomer Art Maurer to learn about eclipses and how to view one safely. Register.

Monday, April 8

Mommy and Me Yoga Storytime, from 10 – 10:20 a.m., ages 0–23 months: During this storytime, use yoga-inspired stories to bond and stretch with your baby. No yoga experience is necessary, but bring a blanket for your baby each week, although yoga mats will be provided. Register.

Eclipse Extravaganza, from 1:30 – 2 p.m., all ages: Come watch the solar eclipse with us and participate in some fun activities! Register.

CPLD Book Discussion Group, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., adults: Join us to discuss “The Widows of Malabar Hill,” by Sujata Massey. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the library. Drop in.

Tuesday, April 9

Toddler Tales, from 10 – 10:45 a.m., ages two/three and a caregiver: Share stories, rhymes, music, sensory bins, process art, and other activities you and your toddler can enjoy together. Register.

Comics and Cookies – Donut Feed the Squirrels, from 4:30 – 5:15 p.m., grades K/second: Join us to discuss the book, enjoy some tasty treats, and create a donut craft! Register.

STEAM Tweens – Astronaut Activities, from 6 – 7 p.m., grades third/fifth: Do you have what it takes to be an astronaut? Come find out as we test our minds and bodies like an astronaut would. Register.

Trivia Night at Evil Horse, from 7 – 9 p.m.: Anything Goes is this month’s theme. Compete on your own or bring a group of friends. Prizes will be awarded. Seating is first come, first served. Evil Horse Brewing Company is at 1338 Main Street. Drop in.

Friday, April 12

Friends of the Library Book Sale, from noon – 4:30 p.m., all ages: Early access at 10 a.m. for active Friends of the Library members or anyone else for a $10 early entry fee. Books, DVDs, CDs, and puzzles will be for sale at bargain prices.
