Monee Police Blotter: April 15 – 21

Spread the love

April 15, at approximately 6:15 p.m., a traffic stop for no registration ended with Erin Hall, 31, of Monee, being placed under arrest for a Texas Warrant. Ms. Hall was wanted by Texas for violation of probation and possession of a controlled substance. Texas apparently believes that having drugs while you’re on probation means you should go to jail. They are planning to extradite her back to Texas from her current digs at the Will County Detention Center.

April 16, at approximately midnight, a traffic stop for no registration, led to charges of driving while revoked and no insurance. Ronald Coleman, 37, of Richton Park, was cited and released.

April 18, at approximately 1 a.m., a speeding violation did not bode well for a Florida couple. The Miami residents are going to be separated for the foreseeable future, as the passenger, Brittany Deslandes, 24, was found to have a theft warrant in Florida.  Florida continues to incarcerate individuals for theft and will be extraditing Ms. Deslandes back to the Sunshine state. The driver, Bullard Oneill, 27, had his driving privileges revoked by the State of Florida. He was cited and released.

April 19, at approximately 3:50 p.m., a Monee resident filed a report for identity theft. While reviewing her credit reports, she found a loan had been acquired in her name for more than $400,000. Identity theft continues to be a serious issue at the national level. Pay close attention to your accounts and if information is compromised, immediately notify all your financial institutions. Most will require a police report. For assistance and information, check out IdentityTheft.gov.

April 21, at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute in the Hoover Court area. A mother/son argument was resolved. Unfortunately for the son, he had an outstanding warrant for theft in Will County. Darius Brown, 19, was taken into custody and turned over to Will County.

Do you have information about crime or have you witnessed suspicious activity? Are you a victim or do you know someone who needs assistance? Don’t stand on the sidelines! Don’t be a victim! Call MPD at 708-534-8308 or email moneepolice@villageofmonee.org.
