Fitness Premier Opens New Beecher Location

Fitness Premier 24/7 Clubs, the emerging fitness franchise that works to bring high-quality, full-circle fitness and wellness solutions to the communities it serves, has reopened its Beecher club in a new location. The club is now at 500 W. Indiana Avenue, a larger building that accommodates even more fitness equipment and the addition of recovery suites.

“The biggest thing was the wait and anticipation from the community, who have been going to the old gym for seven years. That space was smaller and darker, and a lot of the equipment needed to be updated,” explained Mike Orwig, vice president of people development at Fitness Premier 24/7 Clubs. “Now, we have way more space, it’s brighter, we’ve added a Relax and Restore room, doubled the amount of space we have for group classes, and added almost $100,000 worth of new equipment. The community needed and deserved this for a long time, so we’re super excited about it.”

The Relax and Restore suites, which rolled out in multiple Fitness Premier clubs last year, include a range of resources that support members in their pursuit of health and wellness. Members are more aware of the value of recovery, as it relates to their long-term fitness journey, and amenities, including cryotherapy, HydroMassage, sauna, and Theragun, support that effort.

The new club in Beecher also features more plate-loaded strength equipment for legs and more cardio equipment. Though an expansive cardio section is a bit out of the ordinary for the Fitness Premier 24/7 Clubs model, the team listened to the feedback of the local community. With an aging population in Beecher, there is a higher demand for treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, and that need is addressed at the new club.

“We opened on January 9, and we’ve seen positive feedback from members so far,” said Kurtis Mraz, operator of the Beecher location. “Some people have questions about other amenities that might be added. They have that natural curiosity, and they’re super excited. This community has deserved something like this for a long time, and it’s great to finally be able to give that to them.”

Members already are enjoying the new space, but as the team finalizes the finishing touches, it also is preparing for a grand reopening celebration in March. Fitness Premier 24/7 Clubs has always been a very community-centric business, and Orwig says the grand reopening in Beecher will be no different. From March 4 through the 9, the Beecher club will celebrate its new and improved location, raffling off prizes from other local vendors.

“It’s always been important to us to open up businesses in smaller communities,” explained Orwig. “We’ve been in the market now for seven years, but tying this celebration and growth to other businesses in the community allows us to nurture those relationships and really bring that value full-circle.”
