Adult Writing Group, from 6:30 – 8 p.m., adults: Join novice and experienced writers alike and hear their stories, as well as share your own. Writing prompts are given at every meeting. Drop in.

Severe Weather and Storm Chasing, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., adults: Join us for a presentation by Nick Bartholomew of Illinois Storm Chasers. He will discuss local climatology and past tornadic events, plus share thrilling photos and videos of his storm-chasing experiences. Register.

SNAP Help, from 1 – 4 p.m., adults: Krista Stevenson, SNAP Outreach Coordinator for the Northern Illinois Food Bank, will assist people with filling out applications for the Illinois Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as Food Stamps or Link Card. Drop in.
