Monee Police Blotter: March 11 – 16

March 11, at approximately 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 6600 block of Monee-Manhattan Road to investigate a theft. Upon the officer’s arrival, they learned an employee of the business allegedly stole a pair of JBL earbuds worth $299. Shondale L. Taylor, 26, of Chicago, was arrested for theft-under $500. Taylor was processed and released on a notice to appear.

March 13, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Naleah D. Moore, 24, of Monee, for driving while license suspended, after being stopped for having one headlight. Moore also had an active no-bond warrant issued from the Will County Sheriff’s Office. Moore was processed and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

March 14, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Zeb P. Gipson, 28, of University Park, was arrested in the 6200 block of W. Monee-Manhattan Road, for driving with a suspended driver’s license after being stopped for a registration violation. Officers discovered an open, half empty bottle of brandy in the center console of the vehicle. Gipson was issued an additional citation for illegal transportation of alcohol-driver for the open bottle. Gipson was processed and released on a notice to appear.

March 14, at approximately 12:54 a.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Leo L. Coleman, 20, of Park Forest, for driving while license suspended after being stopped for having one headlight. Coleman was processed and released with a notice to appear.

March 16, at approximately 6 p.m., Sean P. Doody, 36, of Manteno, was arrested in the 5400 block of W. Court Street for driving under the influence of alcohol after being stopped for speeding. Doody was processed at MPD where he received an additional citation for DUI-blood alcohol concentration .08 or more. Doody was released on a notice to appear.
