Peotone Township Annual Meeting
By Andrea Arens
The Peotone Township Annual Meeting was exactly 16 minutes long. Dan Younker was nominated moderator, and Clerk Kent Heisner read the previous year’s minutes and financial summary.
There wasn’t any new or old business other than a reminder to the dozen or so attendees that the township was audited last year and is required to be audited every four years.
Final amounts in each fund were as follows: Road and Bridge Fund – $313,728.58, Hard Road Fund – $48,408.67, Equipment and Building Fund – $95,396.57, Town Fund – $116,746.73, and the General Assistance Fund – $6,099.61.
The next Annual Town Meeting was scheduled for April 11, 2023, and the meeting was adjourned.
