Peotone Police Blotter: November 18 – 22

November 18, Peotone Police responded in the early morning hours to Casey’s in reference to a domestic disturbance that started on the expressway and continued into the parking lot.

November 20, officers responded to the report of suspicious subjects around Oak and Division Streets, possibly looking into parked vehicles. Responding officers checked the area and residents’ vehicles. Officers noted all vehicles were secure but were unable to locate any individuals outside. Please make sure to lock vehicles and do not leave anything of value inside of them.

November 21, a police officer met with a subject who came into the police station to file a report for identity theft. The officer spoke with the subject and a report for identity theft was completed, as suspicious activity had occurred with the subject’s checking account. The officer completed the report and advised the victim also to contact the fraud department of her bank.

November 22, the postmaster called and spoke with a police officer in reference to harassing phone calls received from an individual irritated with his postal service. The postmaster was calling to inform the police of a potential issue. No additional problems have been reported or encountered.
