On December 30 at approximately 4:30 a.m.,  per Police Chief David DeMik, two unknown subjects broke the glass to Peotone Tobacco and Liquor and entered the business. The two offenders removed several bottles of alcohol from inside of the business and were driving a stolen SUV from Chicago.

Chief DeMik said there were similar burglaries that same night at other local liquor store businesses. Peotone detectives are working with the other local detectives on several leads in an attempt to identify and arrest the offenders.
