The library will be closed on Monday, January 1, for the New Year holiday.

Interested in the Homebound Delivery Program? Then contact the Adult Services Department for more information and guidelines. Register for events on the website calendar or call the library at 708-258-3436.

Youth Services

Bookworm Buddies will resume on Tuesday, January 9, while Little Learners Storytime will resume on Wednesday, January 10. See you then!!

Adult Services

January 2: Adult Winter Reading Program: Begins January 2 and runs through February 29. Stop by the library and get a winter reading bookmark, then read for a chance to win a gift basket! Every participant will get a PPLD Magnetic Chip Clip, plus one lucky winner will receive a gift basket.

January 2: Tuesday Night Book Club, at 6:30 p.m. The club will discuss “Pineapple Street,” by Jenny Jackson.

January 3: Computer Basics One-on-One, Wednesday, from 11-11:30 a.m. A staff member will devote 30-minute time slots to help with computer needs, including computer basics, setting up an email account and sending attachments, creating resumes, learning how to use the Internet or a word document – you decide. Call to reserve a time slot.

January 4: Mystery Book Club, Thursday, at Heritage Center in Monee, 11 a.m.
