Monee Police Blotter: November 20 – 21

November 20, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Monee Police responded for a report of a subject at the Pilot Travel Center who was battered at the truck gas lane. The victim said he pumped gas, went inside Pilot to get Mc Donald’s. When he came back to his commercial truck, a Black male (offender) yelled “hey come here.” The victim walked over to him and was punched in the face with a closed fist by the offender, also knocking his food down. They engaged in ground fighting. When the offender had had enough, he drove off west bound in a yellow box truck. The victim was treated by the Monee Fire District and received follow up care at a local hospital.

November 20, at approximately 11:12 p.m., Monee Police responded to REV Logistics, 25850 Ridgeland Avenue, for a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned a supervisor was battered by a temporary employee. The supervisor declined to prosecute and refused medical treatment. The temporary employee was asked not to return to Rev Logistics.

November 20, at 11:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Amazon Warehouse, 6605 W. Monee-Manhattan Road, in reference to a theft. Upon the officers arrival, they were met by the loss prevention officer and were told they had an employee in their office who stole multiple items worth more than $500. Officers arrested Michael Fleming, 43, of the 12600 block of S. Alpine Drive, Alsip, for theft of property over $500. Fleming was processed at the Monee Police Department and released with a notice-to-appear.

November 20, at approximately 12:05 a.m., an officer observed a Chevy Tahoe that had crashed into the metal fencing at the front of the Taco Bell building on Monee-Manhattan Road. Further investigation, resulted in the arrest of Steven March, 52, of the 6500 block of Pine Trail Lane, Tinley Park, for driving under the influence of alcohol and operating an uninsured vehicle. March was released with a notice-to-appear.

November 21, at approximately 4:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Amazon Warehouse, 6605 W. Monee-Manhattan Road, in reference to a theft. Upon officers arrival, they were met by the loss prevention officer and were told they had an employee in their office who stole multiple items worth more than $500. Officers arrested Stephanie Ward, 29, of the 19400 block of Glenwood Road, Chicago Heights, for theft of property over $500. Ward was processed at the Monee Police Department and released with a notice-to-appear.
