Trustees also awarded the Legacy Site Work contract, worth $122,711.50, to Kankakee Valley Construction Company.
In other business, trustees approved an amendment to an ordinance establishing the Kankakee County Enterprise Zone and the boundaries thereof in the Village of Manteno. Mayor Tim Nugent said, “This is an amendment that has been talked about at several committee meetings I have attended. The amendment would allow for benefits of the enterprise zone to be used in residential areas of the village.”
