On Tuesday, March 28, the Lady Panther softball and soccer teams each brought home victories.

In the softball contest, facing conference foe Wilmington, Manteno trounced Wilmington, 19-6. The bats got going Tuesday, after the team made some great adjustments from the previous night. Drew Hosselton hit a home run to dead center, in addition to Jaz Manau, Ava Peterson, and Macy Iwanus really hitting the ball well. The team could have been cleaner on the defensive side, but, at the same time, the Panther defense made some nice plays.

Ava Peterson pitched a nice game and picked up her first win of the season. Overall the Panthers are 4-1, and 2-0 in ICE.

Also on Tuesday, March 28, the Panthers Girls Soccer team faced non-conference foe Crete-Monee and brought home a shut-out victory, 1-0. Katherine Gaffney scored the lone goal and was assisted by Julia Bona at the 34th minute of the contest. Aiding in the win, Ava Derrico registered 16 saves, for her second shutout of the season.
