In Manteno on Thursday, January 11, the Lady Blue Devils faced their rival, the Lady Panthers, in a game that began quite closely, as each team exchanged baskets. But, then the Blue Devils started to take off, and the first quarter ended with Peotone leading 17-10. At the half, Manteno had cut into Peotone’s lead, but the score still stood with a Peotone advantage at 29-21. The second half, though, was all Peotone, for the 48-32 win.
On the night, Madi Schroeder scored 22 points, while Ashley Renwick and Addie Graffeo tallied 16 and 12 respectfully. Scorers for Manteno included Maddie Peterson with 9, plus Ava Gesky and Alyssa Singleton each with 5.
