‘Heart-to-Heart’ at Franciscan Health
Free event focuses on heart disease risk and prevention.
The Franciscan Health Heart and Vascular Institute at Olympia Fields is hosting a free Heart-to-Heart event on Wednesday, November 15, aimed at preventing, recognizing, and treating heart disease. The event will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at Odyssey Country Club, 19110 S. Ridgeland Avenue, in Tinley Park.
The event features healthy hors d’oeuvres, health screenings, nutrition label reading tips, and presentations. Attendees will receive a heart-healthy cookbook and have an opportunity to register for a $49 heart scan.
Interventional Cardiologist Omar Hamoui, MD, who serves as director of the Franciscan Health Heart and Vascular Institute at Olympia Fields, will lead a discussion on blood pressure, cholesterol, and prediabetes and their association with heart disease, risk, and prevention.
The event is free, but registration is required and available online.
