Crete Area Chamber March Meeting Highlights
Crete Area Chamber of Commerce met Wednesday, March 9, with nine members present, plus one attending via Zoom. After routine business, members were encouraged to renew their memberships, as approximately half have done so.
In other discussion: A new brochure is being created at an 11-cent per copy savings over last year; Janel Geary approved for last open board seat; Farmers Market applications beginning to arrive, though no farmers have applied at this time. Farmers to receive a free booth this year, possible purchase of a double-sided sign for I-394, but may need Crete permit; Car Show discussion regarding bags to be given to car owners with donated swag from local businesses, raffle prizes, tiered sponsorship program, t-shirt prints, party for exhibitors, plus food truck vouchers for last show date; Pub and Grub Crawl needs more clarification for restaurants; Memorial Day Parade; Park District Easter Egg Hunt dates; Park District hiring; and need new board member to switch positions concerning secretarial duties. Meeting adjourned.
