BTPD Announces Summer Camp Registration

Bourbonnais Township Park District is preparing for a summer full of fun and lasting memories. Registration for Summer Day Camp 2022 and Preschool Camp will open on Monday, April 4, at 9 a.m. Patrons may stop by BTPD facilities – Recreation Station in Bradley, Perry Farm House and Exploration Station Children’s Museum in Bourbonnais, and Willowhaven Nature Center in Kankakee – to enroll in the area’s premier summer experience.

“We are so excited to bring back Summer Camp,” said Interim Executive Director Nicole Jenkins. “Our camps give the kids adventures and lets them explore the outdoors, meet friends, and keeps them active.”

Camps runs 10 weeks – June 6 through August 12, from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The per day fee for residents is $35 or $40 for non-residents, with a weekly rate of $125 for residents or $135 for non-residents. Additional fees for field trips, special guests/ inflatables may apply.

To guarantee a spot in summer camp, those interested must register in person and pay a $20 non-refundable registration fee per camper. Once registered and beginning May 5, those enrolled may log into their online accounts and select attendance days.

BTPD Summer Camp is open to children ages five-to-11 years. Campers will develop skills and knowledge in leisure activities, including sports, arts and crafts, games, and nature. As part of the summer camp curriculum, campers will embark on an enriching journey of the area.

“We are preparing to make summer 2022 one of the best, by giving campers a great opportunity to explore in their own backyard,” said Jen Blair, recreation supervisor. “We offer a variety of activities from the Recreation Station to Perry Farm Park and more.”

Bourbonnais Township Park District offers a variety of recreational opportunities for residents and non-residents of all ages. BTPD encompasses four facilities: Recreation Station, Exploration Statio – a children’s museum, Willowhaven Nature Center, and Perry Farm House, along with four parks, including Perry Farm, Diamond Point, Willowhaven, and Turnberry.
