Bobcat Baseball Season Ends in Regional Semi-Final Play
In regional quarter final play, Beecher faced Momence at home on Monday, May 15, winning 11-7. Beecher battled back after being down 5-7 going into the sixth. Credit goes to winning pitcher Trevor Stout, who pitched three and a third innings off shut-out ball. Beecher tallied 11 runs, on 5 hits, and 3 errors, while Momence scored 7 runs, on 7 hits, with 5 errors.
In the regional semi-final contest on Wednesday, May 17, Reed-Custer beat the Bobcats, 15-0, in four innings. Beecher’s bats also were silent in the shut-out, with Reed-Custer pitching allowing no hits in the contest. Nolen Lane took the loss for the Bobcats. Reed-Custer scored their 15 runs, on 12 hits, with no errors.
The Bobcats finish the season with an overall 16-14 record.
