During the Penfield construction project, the library’s Penfield Street parking lot entrance is closed, but the Maxwell Street entrance still will be open. Turn north on Maxwell from Indiana Avenue to get to the library.
WiFi hotspots and Rokus now are available for a two-week checkout for Beecher library cardholders 18 and over. Bring a hotspot anywhere to create a WiFi network or check out a Roku, with preloaded streaming services, to enjoy on your home TV.
October 24, from 6:30-8 p.m., Chess and Board Game Night, for all ages: Enjoy a night of fun with fellow gamers. Bring a chess board or board game to play. Call to register.

A spider ring take-and-make craft is available. Pick up any time.
October 19, 20, 26, and 27, at 10 a.m., Beecher Bookworm Buddies: Enjoy stories, games, music, and a craft for small children in the meeting room! Call to register.
October 25, at 4 p.m., Canvas Sharpie Painting, children ages 6+: Draw a picture on canvas with markers, then make it swirl with rubbing alcohol drops. Call to register.
October 19: Pumpkins are due back for the pumpkin decorating contest. Patrons of all ages are encouraged to come and enjoy all the decorated pumpkins!
Drop-in Fall Look and Find: Children can look for items in our fall collage and earn a sticker.
Adult Services
October 19, 24, and 26, from 2-5 p.m., One-on-One Technology Help: Sit down for a half hour and receive technology help with any devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops. Receive help with apps, email, Facebook and social media, computer basics, or get any other technology questions answered. Call to register.
October 23, at 7 p.m.: The Evening Book Discussion Group will be discussing “Hamnet,” by Maggie O’Farrell.
The Afternoon Book Club selection is available for pickup. The group will discuss “The Lost and Found Bookshop,” by Susan Wiggs, on Friday, November 10, at 1 p.m.
