Robert ‘Bob’ Rademacher
Robert ‘Bob’ Rademacher, 75, of Alva, Florida, formerly of Peotone, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Citadel of Northbrook, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 26, 1948, in Joliet, to Joseph and Kathryn Rademacher, he was one of four brothers. Robert was a lifelong resident of Peotone and graduated from Peotone High School. He furthered his education at Illinois State University in Normal.
Bob married the love of his life, Claire (nee Sippel), on August 8, 1970. Together they made a loving family and raised five children. One always could find him coaching his children’s sports, farming, golfing in his golf league, watching NASCAR, volunteering at community events, and watching his beloved Cubs. He was also a Eucharistic Minister at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Peotone.
He is survived by his loving wife, Claire Rademacher; children, Ashley (Jerry) Eipers, Ryan Phillip, Rhett Jared (Zhen), and Kyle Devon Rademacher; brothers, James (Joan), John (Cyndi), and William (Melda) Rademacher; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Kathryn, and his daughter, Yvonne Rademacher in 1991.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, from 2-9 p.m., at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, 112 W. Main Street, Peotone. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 26, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 511 N. Conrad Street, Peotone, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Peotone Cemetery.
