Monee Township recently was awarded the 2022 Township of the Year Award, at the Township Officials of Illinois 115th annual Educational Conference. The award was presented by Illinois Township Association of General Assistance Caseworkers President Mary Jo Imperato. Supervisor Donna T. Dettbarn accepted the award.

Monee Township was recognized for its response to residents in need utilizing Emergency Assistance Programs, as well as outreach programs, including the Back to School Supply Program, Easter Baskets, Holiday Meal Boxes, programs for seniors and youth, and more.
