In playoff action on Tuesday, February 20, the Lady Panthers came up short, 24-39, as they faced the Watseka Warriors, and ended their season.
It seemed Manteno just couldn’t get anything to fall through the basket. Although the game was close and Manteno was down by only three, 16-19, as the first half closed, the second half wasn’t good. The Panthers simply where outscored, 8-20.
On the night, the Panthers were led by Maddie Gesky with 10 points, plus 3 offensive and 5 defensive rebounds, while Alyssa Singelton chipped in 5 points. Going against the Panthers, Watseka only had 7 fouls in the entire game. Manteno finished its season at 18-13 overall and 8-6 in ICE.
