Illinois Lutheran celebrated their three seniors on Tuesday, October 10. Playing Morgan Park Academy, the second seed in the upcoming Regional tournament, the Chargers played through three tight sets to win the match 27-25, 26-28, 25-22. Senior Kailey Van Es led the team with 1 ace, 10 assists, 8 kills, and 13 digs. Senior Marisol Tafolla also had a good defensive game, with 13 digs, plus added 1 ace and 5 kills. Anna Oestmann led the defense with 15 digs to go along with her 4 kills and a block assist. Emma Nagle added 1 ace, 9 assists, 1 kill, and 12 digs, while Mia Jacobucci had 2 aces and 12 digs. Senior Bianca Hurst finished with 1 kill and 4 digs.

On Thursday, October 12, the Chargers started the first round of the RVC tournament with a close two set loss (22-25; 22-25) to Grant Park. Kailey Van Es had 1 ace, along with 12 service points. She also added 9 assists and 12 digs. Anna Oestmann had 6 kills and 11 digs. Emma Nagle finished with 7 assists and 9 digs. Azaylia Sanchez had 3 kills and 6 digs, Bianca Hurst added 8 digs, and Mia Jacobucci had 12 digs.The Chargers are now 9-17.
