Donald Younker, 82, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away Thursday August 12, 2022. Born May 6, 1940, in Peotone, he was the son of Kenneth and Lenora Younker.

Don graduated from Peotone High School with the Class of 1958, then completed his schooling at Southern Illinois University, with a degree in Zoology and Botany. He married Sharon Conroy on September 13, 1969, and they were blessed with one daughter, Suzanne. Most of their married life was spent between Gainesville and Tallahassee, Florida, where he worked for the Florida Park Service.

Don is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon Younker; daughter, Suzanne Younker; grandnephew, Ryan Korte; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lenora Younker; a sister, Marilyn Smallwood; and a niece, Cheryl Korte.

Services were held at Bevis Funeral Home Chapel on August 22, with internment on August 24, at the Micanopy Historical Cemetery, in Micanopy, Florida.
