Thursday, June 8

AARP Smart Driver Course, from noon – 4 p.m., adults: Refresh your driving skills and rules of the road knowledge. Cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for nonmembers. The class continues the following day from noon – 4 p.m.

Summer Reading Kickoff Party, from 5 – 7 p.m., all ages: The party includes a magician, petting zoo, face painting, bounce slide, and games for kids! Sign up for Summer Reading and receive a free hot dog and chips. Drop in.

Trivia Night at Evil Horse, from 7 – 9 p.m., adults: This month’s trivia theme is Saturday Morning Cartoons. Compete on your own or bring a group of friends. Prizes will be awarded. Seating is first come, first served.

Saturday, June 10

Worldwide Knit in Public Day, from 9:30 a.m. – noon, all ages: Bring a lawn chair and knitting to this outdoor event. Register.

Family BeeSpotters, from 10 – 11 a.m., families with children ages six and up: Join us as we learn more about the BeeSpotter citizen science project and bees.

Monday, June 12

Bee Family Golf, from 3 – 5 p.m., families: Have an “un-fore-gettable” afternoon playing a fun game of miniature golf with your family! Register.

Bee Cozy at PJ Storytime, from 6 – 6:30 p.m., families: Join us in your comfiest, coziest pajamas and share an evening of stories, rhymes, and songs with the whole family. Drop in.

Tuesday, June 13

Bee Creative Art Program, from 11 a.m. – noon, ages six/12: Channel your inner Pablo Beecasso to create a bee-utiful work of art. In this program, participants will create beehives using paint and other art mediums. It’s sure to be buzz-worthy! Register

Stories and Snacks in the Park, from 3 – 3:30 p.m., families: Please join Ms. Kerry on Tuesdays in the gazebo at Crete Park for this interactive story time. A free snack will be available for your child(ren) during the event. Drop in.

Wizard of Oz Murder Mystery Game, from 6 – 7:30 p.m., adults: Join us to play an interactive role-playing mystery game based on characters from the Wizard of Oz. Limited spaces. Must register.

Wednesday, June 14

Nanni Nikki Storytime and Concert, from 11 – 11:45 a.m., families: Grammy Nominated Artist Nanny Nikki loves to sing and bring life to classic children’s songs, as well as some original music. Join her for a fun, high-energy, interactive musical show, including sing-along songs, dancing, puppets, and more! Register.

Summer Eats, from 6:30 – 8 p.m., Zoom, adults: Learn some easy recipes from Chef Kristyn Slick that are perfect for summer entertaining! Register.

Thursday, June 15

Mobile Workforce Center, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., adults: Receive help with resume development, cover letters, and job applications. Drop in.

Anime Club, from 3 – 4:30 p.m., grades sixth/12th: Join us for a screening of “My Stepmom’s Daughter is My Ex.” Snacks and bottled water will be provided. Drop in.

Buzz into Tot Science – Flower Friends, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., ages three/five, with a parent: Join us as we learn what flowers need to grow. Register.

Knot Just for Knitters, from 6 – 7:30 p.m., adults: Socialize with while working on knitting, crocheting, or any other type of needlework project. Drop in.

Saturday, June 17

Bee a LEGO Builder, from 10 – 11 a.m., ages five/12: Those attending will build some un-bee-lievable things with LEGOs in this program. Drop in.
