Thursday, February 9

Primetime for Preschool, from 1 – 2 p.m., ages four/five: During this independent storytime experience, children spend time with other preschoolers, while enjoying stories, songs, finger plays, games, and learning stations. Register.

STEAM Tweens – Circulatory Sensations, from 6 – 7 p.m., grades third/fifth: Valentine’s Day is on the way, so let’s learn about how our hearts work. Come and build a beating heart model, then participate in a fun game that shows just how hard hearts work for us! Register.

Mardi Gras, from 6:30 – 8 p.m., adults, Zoom: This cook-along class will transport participants to New Orleans! Learn how to make three traditional Creole recipes with Chef Kristyn Slick. A recording will be available afterward. For those who can’t make the Zoom class, register anyway to receive the video link. Register.

Trivia Night at Evil Horse, 1338 Main Street, from 7 – 9 p.m., adults: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is this month’s theme. Compete on your own or bring a group of friends. Prizes will be awarded. Seating is first come, first served. Drop-in.

Friday, February 10

Book Babies, from 10 – 10:30 a.m., ages 0–23 months: Welcome baby to the library and meet other families, while enjoying stories, finger plays, and rhymes. Register.

Saturday, February 11

Coding with Dash, from 10 – 11 a.m., grades third/fifth: Each session focuses on a specific challenge to help students get an introduction to using block-based programming and code, with a focus on robotics. Register.

Monday, February 13

Chess Club, from 3 – 5 p.m., grades sixth/12: Are you a beginner or a pro at chess? Whatever the level, enjoy playing one of the oldest games in the world with peers. A limited number of chess boards and pieces will be provided. Drop-in.

Tuesday, February 14

Time-out for Toddlers, from 10 – 10:45 a.m., ages two/three: The group will share stories, rhymes, music, and other activities you and your toddler can enjoy together. Register.

Dungeons and Dragons for Teens, from 3:45 – 5 p.m., grades sixth-12: In this role-playing game, create your character, choose how the character interacts with the story, and use dice to decide the outcome of your actions. Register.

Comics and Cookies – Kraken Me Up, from 4:30 – 5:15 p.m., grades K/second: Join us as we talk about graphic novels, eat cookies, and do fun activities.

Love Letters, from 6 – 7:30 p.m., adults: Love Letters is a delightful comedy/drama that centers on two longtime friends, Melissa and Andrew, who meet in second grade. During the next 50 years, they share their life experiences with one another through a series of letters. They ride an emotional roller coaster of ups and downs that will touch the heartstrings of every audience member. The play will be performed by, married in real life actors, Jon and Paddy Lynn. Register.

Wednesday, February 15

Teen Video Game Tournament, from 2:45 – 4 p.m., ages 13/18: One game will be chosen to play for each tournament. Players experience fun, yet competitive play. Register.

Thursday, February 16

Knot Just for Knitters, from 6 – 7:30 p.m., ages 11 – adult: Share camaraderie, while working on knitting, crocheting, or any other type of needlework project. Drop-in.

STEAM Kids – Heart Handlers, from 6 – 7 p.m., grades K/second: The group will learn about hearts, while making our own beating heart model, stethoscope, and more! Register.

Friday, February 17

Saturday, February 18

Muffins with a Mystery Reader, from 10:30 – 11 a.m.: Start the weekend with a delicious treat, while enjoying stories and songs with Ms. Kerry and the Mystery Reader. A parent or caregiver must be present. Register.
