Bourbonnais Public Library’s Novels @ Night Book Club will host a special virtual visit from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone, co-authors of this month’s book, “A Merry Little Meet Cute.” The event will be held on Wednesday, December 21, at 6 p.m., in the library’s White Oak Room.

“A Merry Little Meet Cute” is a steamy plus-size holiday rom-com about an adult film star, who is semi-accidentally cast as a lead in a family-friendly Christmas movie, and the former bad-boy pop star she falls in love with.

Julie Murphy is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the young adult novel “Dumplin’” (now a Netflix film), and several other young adult titles. Her adult novels include “If the Shoe Fits” and “A Merry Little Meet Cute,” her first co-authored book with Sierra Simone. She spent several years working in libraries before becoming a full-time writer.

Sierra Simone is a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author and former librarian. Her notable works include “Priest,” “American Queen,” and “Misadventures of a Curvy Girl.” Her books have been featured in Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Entertainment Weekly, and Buzzfeed.
