Tractors For A Cure Bowling Event September 8
The seventh annual Tractors for a Cure will be held in Downtown Peotone this Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm.
Tractors for a Cure will hold a summer bowling event on Saturday, September 8, at the Peotone Bowling Center – 210 N. Second Street, to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Bowling alley owners, Gary and LouAnn Jurres, have been gracious enough to donate their bowling center for this fundraiser.
This past March, Tractors for a Cure held a “Cash Bash,” which proved to be very successful. However, many people were looking for a summer family-oriented event. This new bowling fundraiser will fit those needs. There will be two shifts of bowling: A 2 p.m. family shift, plus a 6:30 p.m. adult shift. The per person fee to participate is $25 and includes two games of bowling, ball and shoe rental, and appetizers/finger foods. Alcoholic and other drinks (water and pop) will be available for sale from the bowling center.
The event will feature eight lanes of six people each per shift. SO….it now is time to get your team of six together and registered by September 1 to support this great cause before fall harvest arrives.
Pre-registration and payment is required by September 1. Call Dawn Brown at 219-313-6334, or Gary Jurres at Peotone Bowl at 708-258-9353 to register your team of six, or contact Tractors for a Cure on Facebook at www.facebook.com/tractorsforacure to register and pay on-line.
There will be raffles and drawings held throughout the evening, so if you are not a bowler, come to the bowling alley and try your luck at the raffles. Back by popular demand will be the 2018 T-shirts, which will be available for purchase the night of the bowling event. Quantities are limited.
