Success By 6 Hosting Early Childhood Fair June 10

Spread the love

Families are invited to stop by the Kankakee County Farmer’s Market to take part in free activities and resources from local, early-childhood focused organizations.

The Success By 6 Coalition is presenting an Early Childhood Fair at the Kankakee County Farmers Market this Saturday, June 10, from 8 a.m. – noon. This is a fun, family-friendly, free event featuring activities and resources for parents and children from birth through age six.

A dozen local organizations will be participating, and activities include:

  • Free car seat checks from the Kankakee County Health Department
  • Health and wellness related service information
  • Free developmental screenings
  • Kid-friendly activities at each booth.

In case of inclement weather, the fair will be held indoors in the Kankakee Public Library’s fourth floor auditorium, from 9 a.m. – noon.

The Success by 6 Early Childhood Fair is made possible thanks to event sponsors Ascension Saint Mary Hospital and Riverside Healthcare. Success By 6 is a joint partnership of United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties and the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley. This collaboration brings together early childhood service providers from across Kankakee and Iroquois Counties, with the goal of impacting the success of our children – from birth to age six – through policy formation, environmental changes, and direct services.
