PHS Honors Senior Softball, Baseball Athletes
On Wednesday, May 8, Peotone High School honored its senior baseball and softball athletes on Senior Night. Congratulations to Ashley Veltmann, Michael Bettenhausen, and Jakob Eaheart!
Ashley Veltman is the daughter of Lauren and Chad Veltman and a four-year member of the softball team. Her favorite team memory is going on Chipotle and ice cream runs with Mady after the games. After high school, Ashley plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University to pursue a degree in nursing and continue her softball career.
Michael Bettenhausen, son of Courtney and Tom Bettenhausen, is a four-year member of the baseball team. Michael’s favorite team memory is the bus rides home after the away games. After high school, he plans on attending Joliet Junior College for Ag Production.
Jakob Eaheart is the son of Melissa and Mark Eaheart and a four-year member of the baseball team. One of his favorite memories from the team is going 4-4, with his first career home run and a walk-off double. After high school, Jakob plans to attend JJC and major in computer science.
