Peotone Police Blotter: January 20 – 25

January 20, Victor Rodriguez, 28, of Matteson, was arrested at 7:35 p.m., for speeding 64-mph in a 40-mph zone and operating a motor vehicle with no valid license. Rodriguez was released on bond pending a court appearance.

January 20, Cyrus Smith, 21, of Orland Park, was arrested at 10:45 p.m., for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and speeding 59-mph in a 40-mph zone. Smith was released on bond pending a court appearance.

January 21, Gabriel Hoekstra, 20, of Munster, Indiana, was arrested at 6:55 p.m., for aggravated traffic – speeding 67-mph in a 40-mph zone and no insurance. Hoekstra was released on bond pending a court appearance.

January 21, Lorenzo Ramirez, 48, of Crete, was arrested at 11:05 p.m., for driving while license is revoked, no insurance, and an equipment violation. Ramirez was released on bond pending a court appearance.

January 22, Morion Burtis, 43, of Kankakee, was arrested at 4:29 p.m., for driving while license is revoked, no insurance, and traffic sign violation. Burtis was released on bond pending a court appearance.

January 22, Lindsay Clevenger, 18, of Bourbonnais, was arrested at 9:18 p.m. for aggravated traffic – speeding 75-mph in a 40-mph zone. Clevenger was released on bond pending a court appearance.

January 23, Amy Harjung, 26, of Frankfort was arrested at 12:16 a.m., for domestic battery. Harjung was taken into custody and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

January 25: Accident at I-57 southbound ramp and Peotone/Wilmington Road, at 4:39 p.m., with Peotone Police and Fire dispatched to a semi vs. passenger car accident. Occupants from the passenger car were all transported to local hospitals, but the driver from the semi-truck was uninjured. The semi-truck went off the road and through the guard rail on the southwest corner of the intersection. The semi drove down the embankment and was stuck in the field below. The intersection was closed to all traffic until 2 a.m. on January 26. Cause of the accident is being investigated by the Illinois State Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
