Youth Services

March 9: St. Patrick’s Day Slime Making, Thursday, at 4:30 p.m.

March 9: Young Adult Book Talk, online, Thursday, at 5 p.m.

March 13: Family Movie Night, Monday, at 4:30 p.m. Please register.

March 14: Bookworm Buddies, Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m., ages three – five years.

March 14: Kid’s Take-and-Make Craft, Tuesday, all day – while supplies last.

March 15: Little Learners Storytime, Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., ages zero-three.

March 16: In the Kitchen with Ms. Sarah, online, Thursday, at 5 p.m.

Adult Services

March 9 – 11: Take-and-Make Craft, through Saturday, while supplies last.

March 13: DIY Wooden LED House Craft (in person or to go – must register), Monday, at 11 a.m.

March 14: The 1893 Chicago World’s Fair Presentation, Tuesday, at 6 p.m. Please register. Historian Jim Gibbons will discuss the World’s Columbian Exposition, later to be called the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Gibbons will explain how Thomas Edison brought new inventions and how author L. Frank Baum wrote the book, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” based on the fair. He also will discuss the book “The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair that Changed America,” based on the H.H. Holmes murders.

March 15: Computer Basics One-on-One, Wednesday, from 11-11:30 a.m. A staff member will devote 30-minute time slots to help with computer needs, including computer basics, setting up an email account and sending attachments, creating resumes, learning how to use the Internet or a word document – you decide. Call to reserve a time slot.
