Spread the love

Tickets available for show features 500 artists from across the country and Canada.

Shop ‘Til You Drop! The One of a Kind Show and Sale, Chicago’s not-to-miss annual shopping extravaganza, will return to THE MART, 222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza, Thursday, December 1 through Sunday, December 4. Celebrating 21 years of pure magic, the One of a Kind Holiday Show brings together 500 talented artists, artisans, and makers to offer the best in everything from fine art and handmade goods to gourmet cafes, bar areas, live entertainment, and fun activities for all ages.

Tickets to the holiday show ($15 for all four days) now are available online at oneofakindshowchicago.com. To make things even more cheery, a portion of all ticket sales will benefit the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

This year, the show also is proud to feature artists from Crete, Flossmoor, and Frankfort with their own distinctive flair.

Robert Lagestee, Lotton Art Glass, is an artist from Crete. Robert grew up surrounded by the beautiful glass of his grandfather Charles Lotton and, even as a child, he dreamed of one day becoming a glass blower. Charles could see Robert’s desire to become a glass artist and began to teach him the art, and today Robert pursues his career developing his own designs in vases, paperweights, paperweight sculptures, bowls, and perfumes. One day, he desires to be an established glass artist like his grandpa.

Barb Mason, bobbi kahn design jewelry is an artist from Flossmoor. Barb’s jewelry is created with beads sourced from all over the world to form a beautiful balance of color, texture, and dimension that makes those wearing it look and feel terrific. With an extraordinary combination of color, texture, unusually beautiful stones or ornamentation, bobbi kahn design makes a positive fashion statement for everyone. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and finished with clasps that start conversations.

Melissa Knieriem, Frankfort Candle Company, is a new artist from Frankfort. Frankfort Candle Company is a woman-owned small business that celebrates the significance of family heirlooms and memories through using classic, heirloom-quality pieces to fill with candles, while using fragrances from around the globe, paired with an eco-friendly coco-apricot crème wax.

The One of a Kind Holiday Show Chicago will be held at THE MART, 222 Merchandise Mart Plaza, seventh floor, from December 1 – 4. For tickets or more information, visit http://oneofakindshowchicago.com/.

Hours are: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, December 1 – 3, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., plus Sunday, December 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
