March 6, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a theft report at a Ridgeland Avenue shipping yard. Big Blue Intermodal of Romeoville reported one of its trailers had been stolen from the shipping yard. The trailer information was entered into the stolen database.

March 7, at approximately 5 a.m., officers took a theft report at a Monee-Manhattan Road truck parking area. The Flossmoor man indicated someone had broken into his truck overnight and taken more than $1,000 in property from the vehicle. Investigations is following up.

March 7, at approximately 8 a.m., a Tinley Park man reported his 2011 Audi was stolen from the parking lot at 5700 W. Monee-Manhattan Road. He discovered the vehicle was gone the night before, but didn’t report it until the next day. It was entered into the database.

March 7, at approximately 10:10 p.m., David Gibson, 21, of Chicago, was arrested for driving while suspended and driving the wrong way. He was processed and bonded.

March 7, at approximately 10 p.m., officers took Devon Hicks, 19, of Matteson, into custody for theft after meeting with Amazon Loss Prevention. He was secured and processed.

March 8, at approximately 2 a.m., officers responded to the Motel 8 for a disturbance. While dealing with multiple intoxicated subjects, it was determined a motel patron had been punched by one of them while trying to wash his clothes. Gurjeet Batth, 28, who resides at the motel, was arrested for battery. The 280-pound Gurjeet resisted arrest and had to be forcibly secured and put into the squad car by multiple officers. Resisting arrest was added to his sheet. Gurjeet’s friend then threatened suicide if he was not allowed to accompany him to jail, then was secured and transported to Franciscan for observation. He was unable to accompany Gurjeet for his processing at MPD.

March 8, at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to Amazon for a theft report. Charles Bell, 42, of Park Forest, was charged with theft and transported for processing.

March 9, at approximately 8 p.m., officers responded to Amazon for a theft report. Christopher Johnson, 18, of Park Forest, was charged with theft and transported for processing.

March 11, at approximately 12 a.m., officers investigated an apparent hit-and-run accident on W. Lilac and located the suspect vehicle a few houses away. Ultimately, Diondra Dannielle Bell, 43, of Monee, was placed under arrest for DUI.  She was processed and bonded.

March 11, at approximately 6 p.m., a traffic stop on Monee-Manhattan Road at I-57 ended with Kenneth Robertson, 32, of E. Chicago, being placed under arrest for driving while suspended, no insurance, and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was secured and processed.
