Letter to Ed.: Patton

Spread the love

Dear Editor:

I had the privilege of serving as the interim superintendent in Crete-Monee District 201U on two occasions for a year. On both occasions, Mrs. Jeanine Galbraith served on the board of education, and I had numerous to interact with her and witness her commitment to the district and the students it serves.

She was an exemplary board member who served selflessly and was a champion of excellence and accountability in the district. She understands the role and responsibilities of a board member and acts accordingly. She refrains from micromanaging which is important to the superintendent and focuses on setting District policy and monitoring its fiscal activities/finances.

Her commitment to her position as a board member is evidenced by her attainment of the designation of Distinguished Board Member by the IASB (Illinois Association of School Boards) which is a noteworthy achievement!

In short, I wholeheartedly support Mrs. Galbraith for reelection to the 201U Board of Education. She truly deserves the support of the communities the district serves.

Sincerely,

Ronald C. Patton, former Interim Superintendent
