Ladycat Sippel Named RVC Player of the Year
This fall, Katie Sippel led the Beecher volleyball team to a perfect record in the River Valley. Sippel was named the RVC Player of the Year.
The junior setter finished the season with 659 assists. Sippel also led the Ladycats with 180 service points, including 77 aces. She was third in kills (177), blocks (23) and digs (111).
Senior hitters Madison Irwin and Adrianna Picicco were also members of the first team. Irwin topped the Ladycats with 276 kills. Irwin was second with 200 digs and served for 123 points. Picicco finished with 233 kills and led the Ladycats with 59 blocks, including 34 solos. Picicco had 123 points and 110 digs.
Junior libero Margaret Landis landed a spot on the second team. Landis topped the Beecher squad with 390 digs and 224 service received. Landis was second in points (146) and assists (47).
Arianna Avelar was selected a special mention. The junior had 100 kills, 113 points, and 95 digs.
