June E. Ullrich, 97, of Peotone, died Friday, December 28, 2018, at her home.
Born June 1, 1921, in Frankfort, she worked as the circulation manager for Big Farmer Magazine in Frankfort. She loved to cook and was active in her churches. She was a former member of Green Garden United Methodist Church and a current member of Faith Community Church in Peotone. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ullrich is survived by four daughters, Carol (Wayne) Cosgrove-Hossbach, Kathryn (Donald) Hoffman, Luann Soucie and Karen (Edward) Knecht, all of Peotone; a son, Roger Ullrich of Arizona; 11 grandchildren, Ronda (Lee) Allott, Renee (Rory) Davis, Randall (Patricia) Ullrich, Rebecca (Jerry) Maxwell, Brian (Sue) Hoffman, Steven (Tammy) Hoffman, Alan (Carrie) Hoffman, Donn (Anne) Soucie, Laura (Ruben) Velasco, Darryl (Robbie) Boehl and Maxwell (Katie) Knecht; 29 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Ault of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She married Harold F. Ullrich on November 14, 1937, in Frankfort, and he died November 23, 1998. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Lulu Klepper Schmuhl; three sisters, Marie Kline, Shirley Kampe, and Bernice Havle; a brother, Wilbert Schmuhl; two sons-in-law, Glen Cosgrove, and Dennis Soucie; and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Ullrich.
Visitation 3 p.m. until the hour of services at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home in Peotone, with Pastor David Marsett officiating.
