Fun for Everyone at Crete Country Christmas!

Don’t forget about the great Crete Country Christmas this weekend, December 2-4. There is a huge list of activities and fun for the entire family, including: A 5K Run/Walk for all sports enthusiasts; Crete Woman’s Club delicious Holiday Cookie Sale and doggie treats, on December 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Township Hall; the Reindog contest and parade at 11 a.m.; plus a Gnome for the Holidays Gift Bag Hunt beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

The jolly old man in the red suit will be in the gazebo at Cass and Main, on Friday, December 2, from 5 – 7 p.m., and also on December 3, from 2 – 5 p.m.

Christmas Lodge entertainment features, 2 Trailers Down, The Saxophones, and Hazzard County on Friday, beginning at 5 p.m. Frank Rossi, Measner Magic, Polaris Martial Arts, CMHS’ Show Choir and Violins, Crete Church Children’s Ministry, and Smokin’ Jo’s will be the attractions on Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m., with the fabulous Parade of Lights at 6 p.m.

Along with a Kris Kringle Market, Sunday’s activities include Bloody Mary Bingo, plus a Bears vs. Packers Watch Party.

The fun doesn’t end on Sunday, though, as the Crete Santa Sleigh Parade will be held on December 5 and 6, beginning at 5 p.m. each evening.

Santa and crew will collect non-perishable food items for Crete Food Pantry, plus unwrapped toys for the Angels on Assignment toy drive. His route includes the downtown area on Monday, and on Tuesday he’ll be in the areas of Old Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire East, and Swiss Valley. Simply leave donations at the curb for an easy pick-up.
