The Frankfort Village Board, at its Monday, November 21, meeting, gave approval to spend an already budgeted amount of $86,740 for evaluation of the Jackson Creek sanitary sewer basins one and four.
Earlier this year, the village conducted a flow monitoring survey within the ± 11.3-square-mile Jackson Creek sanitary sewer sub-basin to pinpoint specific areas within the basin that are allowing stormwater to enter the sanitary sewer system during wet weather events.
This project will include manhole inspections and sanitary sewer televising to identify specific defects and determine the most cost-effective repairs. The cost for the construction work that will follow also has been included in the village’s FY 2022/2023 budget.
