Educate, Advocate, Eliminate: Sexual Violence Awareness Conference April 21

Clove Alliance, Kankakee Community College (KCC), and the 21st Judicial Circuit Family Violence Coordinating Council are sponsoring a conference for professionals, Educate – Advocate – Eliminate: Sexual Violence Awareness Conference, on Friday, April 21, from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., on the campus of KCC. This all-day conference is intended for law enforcement, mental health, social services, violence prevention, education, and medical professionals.

Combating sexual violence requires both awareness and knowledge of the tools to best support victims. Conference keynote speakers are industry leaders, Jackson Katz, Ph.D. and Shawna Potter.

The conference will empower participants to work together to eliminate sexual violence within our communities by combating harassment, promoting gender equity, and engaging men in the promotion of gender equity and the prevention of sexual violence. Lunch and CEU’s will be provided to participants. The registration fee for this training is $15.
