Graduations

The University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, awarded more than 1,650 degrees during its fall commencement ceremonies on December 10. Congratulations to the following local students who were awarded degreea: Olivia Kirchman of New Lenox, Bachelor of Arts; plua Kalie Korpitz, Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, and Hailey Shaddon, Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, both of Manhattan.

New Lenox native Erica Dice graduated with a MSA, BS in Accounting, Accounting 3/2, from Bradley University after the fall semester.

Dean’s/President’s/Academic Excellence Lists

Manhattan resident Amanda Gerl was named to Northern Illinois University’s Academic Excellence List, which is equivalent to the Dean’s List but for students who have not declared a major.

Brady Forsythe and Nolan Krol, both of New Lenox, were named to Mississippi State University’s President’s List for the fall semester. Catherine Krol, also of New Lenox, was named to the University’s Dean’s List.

The following local students have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for the fall semester: Alissa Breen, Melanie Drews, Nina Marchigiani, and Devan Whitehead, all from New Lenox.

Jack Urbanciz, of Manhattan, was named to Quincy University’s Dean’s List for the fall semester.

More than 1,300 students were honored on the Lewis University Dean’s List for the fall semester, including the following local students.

Crete: Kayla Gomez.

Manhattan: Kiley Bisping, Hunter Brough, Sydney Dale, Christopher Flynn, Charles Gentile, Matthew Tracy, and Dylan Wasilewski.

Monee: Cassandra Botello and Rofelio Botello.

New Lenox: Christina Adler, Bryan Avalos, Jurgen Balstrode, Alexandra Baranski, Mathew Bohne, Andrew Burton, Alexis Carlino, Gianna Ciaccia, Nina Demma, Tyler Durkin, Jordan Eggleston, Aiden Fifer, Carly Goranson, Tara Gugliuzza, Taylor Gugliuzza, Bridget Humphries, Sofia Hunt, Luke Juricek, Jackson Kameron, Sean Klosowski, Savannah Klozik, Brooke Koniuszy, Jenna Lack, Bailey Lawruk, Ashley Macica, Ryan Manikowski, Ashlynne Mills, Ricardo Munoz, Ryan O’Connor, Ryan Ondracek, Victor Rosas, Rebekkah Schimick, Gabriel Seemann, Constance Senese, Sena Settles-Markantony, Carly Shipman, Sara Siepak, Jessica Sumrow, Grace Vosburg, Jared Walkover, Logan Watta, Madison Weis, Eric Wesel, Hayley Weston, Allison Wondrasek, Hannah Yep, and Emma Young.

Ferris State University, in Michigan, recently announced local students named to its fall Dean’s List, including: Ethan Short, from Beecher; Victoria Hay – Frankfort; Makenzie Keane – Manteno; Joseph Loffredi – Mokena; and Katheryn Klepser and Marissa Marsh, from New Lenox.
