Bobcat Baseball Ends Regular Season with 3 Wins!

On Monday, May 8, the Bobcats traveled to face their conference foe the Grant Park Dragons and brought home a 13-2 victory. On the day, the Bobcats came out swinging and scored 5 runs in the first, 2 in the third, and 3 each in the fourth and sixth innings, for the lopsided win.

Nathan Diachenko had three hits, including his third home run, while Zak Gorcowski and Quinton Allen each added two. Gorcowski and Diachenko teamed up to only allow one earned run in 6 innings, with Gorcowski credited with the win.

Tuesday’s home conference game against Momence provided the Bobcats with another victory, 8-3, on May 9. The Bobcats scored 8 runs, on 7 hits, along with 2 errors, while Momence tallied 3 runs, on 5 hits, with 4 errors. Trevor Stout, the winning pitcher of record, went 5 strong innings striking out 7, while only allowing one earned run.

The Bobcats finished with week and the regular seaseon with an away contest against Momence on Thursday, May 11, bringing home a 13-3 win. Quinton Allen and AJ Snell each had three hits, while Snell and Rio Llamas each hit home runs. The Bobcats scored 13 runs, on 14 hits, with 4 errors. Momence tallied 3 runs, on 6 hits, along with 5 errors. Nolen Lane earned the victory, going 5 innings and striking out 5.

On the season, the Bobcats are 15-13.
