Blue Devils Split Decisions with Tigers

It was a split decisions for the Blue Devils when they played Herscher in back-to-back contests on February 12 and 13.

On Monday, February 12, the Blue Devils traveled to Herscher in a conference match-up that ended in a loss for the Devils, 38-51. On the night, Ruben Velasco led the team with 18 points, while Brandon Weiss finished with 12.

Then on Tuesday, February 13, Herscher came to Peotone, and the Devils celebrated their Senior Night with a commanding victory over the Tigers, 71-46.

According to Coach Ron Oloffson, the Devils jumped out to a 25-5 first quarter lead and never looked back. Brandon Weiss was on fire, tallying 35 points in the contest, Ruben Velasco added 15 points, along with 8 rebounds, and Colin Emsweller added 8 points.

The Blue Devils are currently 10-18 overall and 5-9 in ICE, with just one more match-up left in the regular season. They will play Reed-Custer on Monday, February 19.
