January 11, Tony Adams, 31, of the 900 block of N. Cleveland, Kankakee, was stopped at Dixie Highway and Hodges Street for a vehicle equipment violation and found to have a suspended driver’s license. In his vehicle was a battery-powered reciprocating saw and catalytic converters that had been cut off vehicles. Adams was arrested on the traffic charges and a warrant with a bond of $100,000 was issued for Adams for possessing the catalytic converters. He was arrested for that charge on January 25 and sent to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

January 21, Alan Tafolia-Perez, 22, of the 31300 block of S. Western, Beecher, was stopped at Dixie Highway and Penfield Street for having an expired registration and found to have no valid driver’s license and no identification. He was arrested, processed, and released.

January 29, Gustavo Valencia, 29, of the 5000 block of Talman, Chicago, was stopped at Dixie Highway and Linden Drive for speeding and found to possess illegal cannabis. He was charged with speeding and adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. Valencia was arrested and bonded out shortly afterward.
