For All Ages

The library has a new “friend” and encourages residents to stop by and watch their little tadpole transform into a frog! Visit the library through July to watch its progress!

The Summer Reading Program, Find Your Voice, begins Monday, June 5. Participants of all ages, even adults, can win prizes just for reading. Registration begins on June 5.

June 7, from 6:30-8 p.m., Chess night: Bring a set if you have one and enjoy an evening of chess. Participants should already know how to play. Call to register.

Youth Services

A new take-and-make frog hat craft will be available on June 1. Pick up any time.

June 1 and 2, at 10 a.m., Beecher Bookworm Buddies: Enjoy stories, games, music, and a craft for small children! Call to register.

June 8, at 10 a.m., Outdoor Story Time in the Park: Enjoy stories, games, music, and crafts/activities! Story time will take place at the band stand at Firemen’s Park. Bring a blanket or folding chair to sit on. Call to register.

Adult Services

Beginning June 1, the library will have mobile hotspots available for check out! Hotspots can be taken anywhere to connect mobile devices to the internet – including laptops, phones, and tablets. Beecher Community Library cardholders over 18 may check them out for one week and renew twice if there are no holds. Overdue fines are $1 per day.

June 1, 6, and 8, from 2-5 p.m., One-on-One Technology Help:  Sit down for a half hour and receive technology help with any of your devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops. Receive help with apps, email, Facebook and social media, computer basics, or get any other technology questions answered. Call to register.

The June Afternoon Book Club will meet on Friday, June 9, at 1 p.m., to discuss “Mrs. Kennedy and Me,” by Clint Hill. There’s still time to pick up a copy and join.

The Evening Book Discussion short story is available for pickup. The group will discuss “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County,” by Mark Twain, on Monday, June 26, at 7 p.m.
