The library’s newest guest is a little tadpole that is transforming into a frog! Residents are encouraged to visit the library through July to watch its progress! They’re even taking name suggestions for the next few weeks.
Youth Services
A new take-and-make frog hat craft will be available on June 1. Pick up any time.
May 25, 26, June 1, and June 2, at 10 a.m., Beecher Bookworm Buddies: Enjoy stories, games, music, and a craft for small children! Call to register.
May 31, at 4 p.m., Name Keychains, for kids six and older: Make fun personalized name keychains with colored and letter beads. Call to register by Friday, May 26.
Adult Services
Beginning June 1, the library will have mobile hotspots available for check out! Hotspots may be taken anywhere to connect mobile devices, such as laptops, phones, and tablets, to the internet. Beecher Community Library cardholders, over 18, can check them out for one week and renew twice if there are no holds. Overdue fines are $1 per day.
May 30 and June 1, from 2-5 p.m., One-on-One Technology Help: Sit down for a half hour and receive technology help with any devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops. Receive help with apps, email, Facebook and social media, computer basics, or get any other technology questions answered. Call to register.
The June Afternoon Book Club selection now is available for pickup. The group will be discussing “Mrs. Kennedy and Me,” by Clint Hill, on June 9, at 1 p.m.
The Evening Book Discussion short story is available for pickup. The group will discuss “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County,” by Mark Twain, on Monday, June 26, at 7 p.m.
